How to Get There

By plane - the most convenient way to access to those provinces, Phuket and Krabi, just check out your flight schedule operated by many different carriers, especially flying from Bangkok. After your arrival, you are able to take taxis, van, or rent a car to reach pier to Phi Phi Islands. However, you may stay longer to go sightseeing around Phuket Town or Krabi Town before visiting the islands in the morning. You will spend time on the flight 1 hour and 30 minutes to two hours. Another option to fly direct to Phi Phi Islands from Phuket International Airport, you can fly with Destination Air which offers a seaplane shuttle service.

By train - another way for transportation in Thailand. There is no train station in Phuket or Krabi. If you would like to take a train from Bangkok, you may reach Phun Phin train station in Surat Thani, Thung Song train station in Nakhon Si Thammarat, or Trang train station. Then, take a bus to Krabi. Before arriving Phuket, you can go by train from Bangkok to reach Phun Phin train station in Surat Thani and then take a van to Phuket within 4 hours.
Getting to Phi Phi is not hard to do, there are ferries run daily. However, to save time, you may rent speedboat to get there personally. After you arrive at Phuket, you must go by taking taxis or driving rented car to reach Ratsada Pier where is nearby Phuket Town and is the most popular and convenient pier. Schedule times from Phuket to Phi Phi Islands are 8:30 am to 10:00 am, 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm, and 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Then, you will first arrive at Ton Sai Pier in Phi Phi. Price is around 350 baht per person. At Krabi, Khlong Chilat Pier is the most well-known pier nearby Krabi town offering 2-deck ferry boat with air-conditioning. Two schedules are available: 10:00 am to 11:30 am by Chao Koh Company and 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm by Phi Phi Familay Company. Those cost 350 baht per person.
